Under the patronage of Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and within the framework of supporting international scientific cooperation and strengthening research partnerships among BRICS countries, the Science, Technology and Innovation Funding Authority (STDF) announces the opening of applications for the 7th Call of the Multilateral Joint Research Projects Program for 2026. The program aims to support collaborative research projects that contribute to providing innovative solutions to developmental and technological challenges of common interest among BRICS countries.
The program targets supporting joint research projects in priority areas, including water resources, high-performance computing and artificial intelligence, energy, health, biotechnology and biomedicine, food, and materials science, with funding of up to EGP 3 million for the Egyptian side of the project for a period of up to three years.
The program requires that the research consortium include partners from at least three BRICS countries, while adhering to the national funding regulations of each supporting agency. Applications must be submitted through the international BRICS platform, in addition to fulfilling the national application requirements of the Authority.
The international joint team must submit the Joint Application Form (JAF) no later than June 16, 2026, at 3:00 PM Moscow Time (UTC+3) via the electronic submission platform:

In addition, the Egyptian Principal Investigator must submit the Joint Application Form (JAF), the research proposal, and the required documents no later than June 20, 2026, through the Authority’s website:
