Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, extends his sincere congratulations to Dr. Ashraf Hatem on the occasion of his election as a member of the Health Committee of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, during the elections held on the sidelines of the 152nd Assembly of the Union in Istanbul, Turkey.
This achievement represents an important milestone that reflects the strong international confidence in Egyptian expertise, especially after Dr. Ashraf Hatem secured a sweeping victory with 77 votes against 23 votes for his competitor, demonstrating the global recognition of his extensive experience in managing and developing healthcare systems.
This victory also crowns Dr. Ashraf Hatem’s distinguished professional career, during which he has held several prominent leadership positions in the health sector, in addition to his active legislative role in the House of Representatives, contributing significantly to the development of healthcare policies and the enhancement of service quality provided to citizens.
The Minister expressed his best wishes for Dr. Ashraf Hatem’s continued success in carrying out his duties, in a way that strengthens Egypt’s regional and international standing and supports the advancement of healthcare efforts at both the national and international levels.
It is worth noting that Dr. Ashraf Hatem has held numerous senior leadership positions, including former Minister of Health, former Chair of the Health Committee in the House of Representatives, former Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Universities, Chair of the Medical Studies Sector Committee, former Advisor at the The American University in Cairo, and former Director General of Cairo University Hospitals.
