On the sidelines of the Supreme Council of Universities meeting at Sadat City University:
The Minister of Higher Education, the Governor of Menoufia, and the President of Sadat City University inaugurate and inspect several educational and health projects at Sadat City University, costing EGP 8 billion.
* Inauguration of the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Nursing, and the Faculty of Science at Sadat City University
* Inauguration of the lecture hall building
* Inauguration of the site preparation work for the new university campus
* Inauguration of the Foreign Language Learning Center, affiliated with the Center for Internationalization and Global Engagement

Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, accompanied by Major General Ibrahim Abu Limon, Governor of Menoufia, and Dr. Shaden Muawiya, President of Sadat City University, inaugurated and inspected several educational and health projects at Sadat City University this morning, Saturday, at a total cost of EGP 8 billion. Dr. Mustafa Rifaat, Secretary of the Supreme Council of Universities, and a number of ministry officials were also present. The governorate and the university.
Dr. Ayman Ashour began his visit by inaugurating the lecture hall building, which covers a total area of 8,800 square meters. It comprises two buildings (Building A, designated for the public university, and Building B, designated for the private university), and includes eight lecture halls with a total capacity exceeding 2,800 students, 18 classrooms with a capacity of 510 students, four electronic testing labs with a capacity of 816 computers, two seminar rooms with a capacity of 25 students each, and four additional lecture halls with a capacity of 350 students each.
The minister also inaugurated the Faculty of Medicine building, which covers a total area of 7,400 square meters and cost 230 million Egyptian pounds. It houses central laboratories, modern lecture halls equipped with the latest educational technology, 41 administrative offices, 10 laboratories, six classrooms, a scientific library, and an electronic reading room for students with 10 computers and internet access.
Dr. Ayman Ashour also inaugurated the Nursing College building, which occupies a total area of 8,640 square meters and consists of a basement, ground floor, and first floor.
The Minister also inaugurated the Science College building, which occupies a total area of 200 square meters and cost 40 million Egyptian pounds.
Dr. Ashour also inaugurated the site development work for the new university campus. This included landscaping the site for the national university, the new campus, and the faculties of Veterinary Medicine, Medicine, Law, Commerce, and Education. The landscaping work encompassed the construction of electrical substations, network infrastructure, roads, sewage systems, and water reservoirs.
The Minister also inaugurated the Foreign Language Learning Center, part of the Center for Internationalization and Global Engagement. The center is equipped according to international accreditation standards approved by AMIDEAST Egypt and the Education Development Fund, under the auspices of the Cabinet. The center represents a pivotal step in the university's internationalization efforts, as it will collaborate with specialized international organizations to teach and administer accredited tests in several languages, including English, German, French, Japanese, Russian, and Swahili.
The Minister also inaugurated the Student Services Center for Students with Disabilities, equipped with several classrooms, a meeting room, computers, and administrative offices. The center provides a variety of services to undergraduate and graduate students with disabilities.
The Minister also inspected several colleges nearing completion to monitor ongoing construction work. These included the College of Pharmacy, the College of Commerce, and the College of Education, as well as the university mosque, which is being built on a 300-square-meter plot.
The tour also included a visit to the University Day Surgery Hospital in Area 11. This hospital, built on a total area of 20,000 square meters, has a capacity of 60 beds, including 12 intensive care beds (for adults and children). It also features a radiology center, specialized laboratories, outpatient clinics covering 19 medical specialties, operating rooms and related facilities, and fully equipped operating theaters and specialized laboratories. This hospital represents a significant step forward in providing urgent and effective medical services.
The Minister also inspected the Career Development Center at Sadat City University, which aims to prepare students and equip them with the skills and competencies necessary for the job market. He also followed up on the implementation of the "Be Prepared" initiative, which has been implemented at the university.
For his part, Dr. Ayman Ashour praised the development work underway at Sadat City University across various medical and educational sectors, which contributes to fulfilling its mission effectively. He commended the important role the university plays, given its distinguished faculty and scientific expertise in all disciplines, serving the educational, health, and research systems.
The Minister emphasized that these projects are part of the ongoing development and expansion plan for Sadat City University's buildings and facilities. This reflects the state's commitment, under the unlimited support of the political leadership, to providing a comprehensive educational environment. He explained that this expansion of university facilities is proceeding in parallel with the qualitative development efforts the university is implementing at the educational and research service level, in accordance with the pillars and objectives of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research 2030. This contributes to improving the quality of higher education outcomes and meeting the needs of society and the job market.
For his part, Major General Ibrahim Abulimon affirmed that the implementation of these projects reflects the state's interest in supporting educational and health projects in Menoufia Governorate. He pointed out that the medical city will provide numerous health and treatment services to the governorate's residents and represents a significant addition to the healthcare system in Egypt. He commended the university's efforts in providing all the necessary modern technical equipment and training on the latest advancements, which contribute to enhancing the skills of medical personnel and continuous development in the field.
