The event was attended by Dr. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Amani Kamel, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Dr. Rami Maher Ghali, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Mohamed Abdel Karim Saleheen, Vice President of Ain Shams National University for Academic Affairs; Dr. Ayman Farid, Assistant Minister and Head of the Cultural Affairs and Missions Sector; Dr. Ola Sami, Director of the Career Center at Ain Shams University; along with a number of deans, vice deans, and distinguished representatives of leading companies and institutions participating in the expo.

In his speech, Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa expressed his pleasure at participating in the opening, emphasizing that this event embodies a key pillar of the state’s strategy—strengthening the link between education outputs and labor market needs. He highlighted the Ministry’s efforts through the Supreme Committee formed to review and update academic programs across Egyptian universities, ensuring alignment with rapid changes in the labor market locally, regionally, and internationally, and enhancing graduates’ readiness and competitiveness.

Dr. Konsowa further explained that the Ministry is working in parallel to establish the Strategic Planning and Labor Market Studies Center, which will serve as a national think tank to monitor and analyze labor market trends and support decision-makers with accurate data. This will contribute to developing educational policies aligned with national economic needs and meeting industry requirements, reinforcing the role of education in building and preparing the Egyptian citizen for the future.

The Minister praised the expo’s role as an important platform that brings together students and graduates with representatives of major companies and institutions, providing real opportunities for employment and training. He also commended Ain Shams University for organizing the event and highlighted the positive role of the University Career Center in preparing students and developing their skills.

He stressed the importance of fostering an active academic and research community by encouraging student projects and supporting young researchers to engage in applied scientific research that addresses development challenges and serves the knowledge economy. He affirmed the Ministry’s full support for students’ and researchers’ ideas and innovations in cooperation with various ministries and entities.

The Minister also addressed students and graduates, affirming that they are at the core of the Egyptian state’s priorities. He noted that the state is committed to empowering them with knowledge and skills, enhancing their capacities for innovation and entrepreneurship, and encouraged them to make the most of the expo’s activities, engage with companies, and gain valuable experience to confidently embark on their future careers.

He added that today’s global challenges require teamwork and integration among educational institutions, the private sector, and industry to prepare graduates capable of competing in a rapidly changing labor market.

For his part, Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Cairo Governor, affirmed that the expo aligns with the state’s commitment to supporting youth and providing real job opportunities, in line with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Egypt Vision 2030 for sustainable development. He described the expo as a successful model of cooperation between the university and Cairo Governorate, reflecting the state’s commitment to providing decent job opportunities and preparing youth for both local and international labor markets.

He added that such initiatives aim to prepare graduates for professional integration into the workplace, noting the Governorate’s full support for career fairs to ensure tangible outcomes that benefit both youth and society. He emphasized that these events provide direct interaction between students, graduates, and employers, helping bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

In his remarks, Dr. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen highlighted the significance of this year’s edition, which features the participation of more than 100 companies and institutions offering over 2,000 job and training opportunities across various sectors. He noted that the university is hosting more than 200 experts and specialists delivering a wide range of professional activities, including specialized lectures, career guidance sessions, CV reviews, and practical workshops, all aimed at preparing graduates to meet evolving labor market demands.

He added that one of the key features of this year’s expo is its full reliance on digital transformation through an advanced electronic platform developed in collaboration with the Faculty of Computers and Information and the University Network Center. The platform enables participants to register, upload CVs, apply directly for jobs, and book career development sessions in advance—reflecting the university’s commitment to adopting modern technological systems in supporting employment and innovation.

He further noted that, as part of its societal responsibility, the university expanded participation this year to include not only Ain Shams students and graduates but also graduates from all Egyptian universities and job seekers, reaffirming its national role in supporting youth economic empowerment.

Dr. Zain El-Abedeen explained that the expo runs over two days, with each day dedicated to specific academic sectors to ensure optimal alignment between graduates’ specializations and employers’ needs, thereby enhancing effective communication and real employment opportunities. He emphasized that Ain Shams University’s role goes beyond providing academic knowledge to building and preparing individuals for the labor market and enabling them to compete locally, regionally, and internationally.

At the conclusion of his speech, he extended sincere thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Higher Education for his continuous support, as well as to all partners and participating entities, wishing students and graduates success and a promising professional future.

The event also featured a presentation by Dr. Ola Sami, Director of the Career Center, who reviewed the Center’s achievements since its establishment. She noted that the expo builds on the Center’s efforts to prepare students and graduates for the labor market, having successfully served more than 104,000 students and graduates through professional training programs, career guidance, and practical activities in collaboration with industry partners. She added that this edition marks a qualitative leap, transforming the event from a traditional job fair into a comprehensive professional platform integrating training, guidance, and employment.

On the sidelines of the event, Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa and Dr. Ibrahim Saber were honored and awarded the university shield in recognition of their contributions to advancing higher education and scientific research.

The visit concluded with an inspection tour during which the Minister, the University President, the Cairo Governor, and attendees visited several company booths, explored available training and employment opportunities, and engaged in direct discussions with representatives regarding recruitment mechanisms and labor market requirements—reflecting their commitment to maximizing students’ and graduates’ benefit from these opportunities.

They also interacted with participating students and graduates, listening to their feedback on the expo’s impact. They praised the efforts of student volunteers in organizing the event, while students expressed appreciation for the valuable opportunities to connect with leading companies, understand labor market requirements, and access suitable training and employment opportunities aligned with their fields of study.

It is worth noting that this year’s expo targets the participation of over 100 local and international companies and expects to استقبال more than 15,000 visitors, in addition to organizing career guidance sessions and specialized lectures aimed at building clear career paths for youth and enhancing their readiness for the labor market.
