During the event, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research signed a cooperation protocol with the Public Prosecution aimed at strengthening collaboration in spreading legal awareness, implementing training programs for law students, and organizing cultural salons and awareness seminars within Egyptian universities.
The protocol seeks to achieve several strategic objectives, most notably enhancing legal, social, and cultural awareness among undergraduate and postgraduate students, and developing students’ capacities, knowledge, and legal skills through practical training at the Public Prosecution offices and the Criminal Research and Training Institute.
It also aims to promote national awareness, encourage positive participation among students, prepare them to assume future responsibilities, foster academic and scientific research in legal studies, and exchange practical and academic expertise between both sides, thereby supporting institutional integration, linking legal academic outputs to practical needs, and providing logistical and technical support to implement training programs and joint events.
In his speech, Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa stated that the launch of the cultural salons coincides with the anniversary of the Liberation of Sinai, a national milestone that reflects Egypt’s ability to restore its rights through determination and resolve.
The Minister explained that this initiative represents a qualitative step toward reinforcing awareness within Egyptian universities through a strategic partnership with the Public Prosecution aimed at strengthening legal and intellectual awareness and fostering a culture of dialogue and openness to national and societal issues.
He added that the cultural salons serve as effective platforms for building enlightened awareness and preparing generations capable of critical thinking and positive participation in the development process, stressing that universities have become a central pillar in building individuals and shaping their consciousness.
The Minister further noted that the timing of launching these activities comes amid accelerating intellectual challenges that require equipping youth with sound knowledge and opening spaces for constructive dialogue based on respect for diversity and acceptance of differing opinions.
He emphasized that the cooperation protocol with the Public Prosecution provides distinguished training opportunities for law students through direct engagement with judicial expertise, in addition to awareness activities that contribute to spreading legal culture and reinforcing the rule of law.
For his part, Counselor Mohamed Shawky expressed pride in holding this event in conjunction with the 44th anniversary of Sinai Liberation, stressing that this historic national occasion remains a lasting source of inspiration for drawing lessons from history and reinforcing the values of sacrifice and belonging.
The Public Prosecutor affirmed that commemorating the Liberation and the victories of crossing goes beyond celebrating a glorious national achievement; it extends to establishing correct awareness and deep understanding among younger generations of the sacrifices made to protect the homeland and preserve dignity.
He stressed that the battle of today is a battle of awareness, understanding, and belonging, and that the Public Prosecution, as part of its national mission, is committed to strengthening cooperation with academic and scientific institutions to prepare generations that are aware of their history, conscious of present challenges, and capable of carrying the responsibility of the future.
He pointed out that the Public Prosecution is one of the pillars of the Egyptian state, entrusted with safeguarding its resources, and that cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education reflects an institutional vision aimed at building individuals, strengthening national and legal awareness, and preserving the national memory associated with the heroism of the Armed Forces.
Addressing students directly, the Public Prosecutor stated that Egypt places its future in their hands, calling on them to carry the national responsibility, preserve the achievements made, and play their role in building the modern state.
He noted that the homeland today enjoys security and stability, and that the future depends on the awareness of its youth, stressing that the battle of this generation is the battle of awareness and correct understanding against attempts to falsify facts, spread misinformation, and sow discord.
He urged students to remain vigilant, verify information carefully, and confront falsehoods with science and knowledge in order to preserve the stability of the nation and protect its achievements.

He added that the cultural salons represent an important platform for promoting awareness, belonging, and open dialogue, contributing to preparing an informed generation capable of critical thinking and decision-making.
In the same context, Dr. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen affirmed that cultural salons are among the important tools for enhancing national awareness amid contemporary intellectual challenges.
