The film also featured speeches from graduates of the three national universities, where students from Galala University, Alamein International, and King Salman International shared their academic experiences, praising the integration of theoretical and practical aspects, which provided them with practical skills and prepared them efficiently for the labor market.

In his speech, Dr. Ayman Ashour expressed his gratitude to the political leadership for their full support of the higher education system, particularly national universities. He also thanked the Prime Minister for attending the graduation ceremony of the first class from three international national universities that began in the academic year 2020-2021. This support reflects the Prime Minister’s interest in higher education and scientific research. Ashour also acknowledged the efforts of former higher education ministers, especially Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar during his tenure, and the efforts of the Engineering Authority and the Ministry of Housing.

The Minister noted that the concept of establishing national universities dates back to 1908 with the founding of King Fouad I University, now Cairo University. This idea was revived under President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, leading to the creation of 20 national and international national universities with around 200 faculties offering advanced educational programs, including more than 410 interdisciplinary programs, in addition to traditional programs. This year, seven new national universities will be established, starting in 2025-2026, increasing the number of national universities to 27 by 2025. These universities benefit from the human and material resources of government universities, making them pioneering and contributing to the expansion of universities across Egypt.

Dr. Ayman Ashour emphasized that the ministry's vision for developing higher education focuses on enhancing interdisciplinary programs at national universities. These programs provide excellent education for integrated disciplines to meet current challenges and labor market changes. The ministry has prepared national universities not only materially but also by training faculty members to design interdisciplinary programs in collaboration with international experts.

The Minister explained that as part of the internationalization of education, which is a key principle of the national strategy for higher education and scientific research, Egyptian universities, especially national ones, are seeking partnerships with many global universities. National universities have partnerships with institutions such as the University of Louisville, Jean Moulin University, West Virginia University, James Madison University, Hiroshima University, and Arizona State University. The ministry continues to implement the presidential initiative "Alliance and Development," which aims to link university outputs with economic entities in each region, with national universities joining ranking teams in preparation for international rankings, and training personnel to ensure this goal is achieved, reflecting the state's commitment to quality higher education and enhancing the international standing of universities.

Dr. Ayman Ashour confirmed that the proactive approach adopted by the Egyptian state has led to an increased enrollment in national universities. In the 2021/2022 academic year, approximately 8,000 students were enrolled, rising to 21,000 in 2022/2023, and exceeding 42,000 in 2023/2024. It is expected that the number of enrolled students will exceed 60,000 this year, bringing the total number of students at national and international national universities to more than 150,000.

The Minister highlighted the contribution of national universities to various community initiatives in collaboration with public and private universities, such as the "Decent Life" initiative and other presidential initiatives that promote national identity and strengthen the relationship between students and society. These universities also place great importance on diverse student activities, including sports and cultural events, and participate in innovation and entrepreneurship activities.
