Collaborative Protocol between Petroleum Research Institute and Egyptian Space Agency
According to the directives of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, stressing the importance of cooperation and integration between research institutes and various state entities, the Egyptian Petroleum Research Institute signed a collaborative protocol with the Egyptian Space Agency with the aim of integrating efforts and achieving scientific cooperation to enrich the field of petroleum applications and projects, and to exchange experiences in the field of space to serve the field of petroleum research.
The protocol included several areas for joint cooperation, including conducting research and application projects related to areas that serve both parties, making use of laboratory and technical capabilities of the two parties, holding training courses, workshops and seminars in areas of common interest, and cooperating in all research stages: envisioning the idea, developing design and implementing and applying the idea.
The protocol was signed by Dr. Yasser Mustafa, Director of the Institute, and Dr. Muhammad Iraqi, Deputy CEO of the Agency, in the presence of Dr. Mohammed al-Qousi, CEO of the Agency, and a number of heads of research departments at the Institute.
On the sidelines of the signing of the protocol, an inspection tour was organized including satellite assembling and testing building, space load laboratory, engineering model laboratory and the thermal chamber.
